I would personally like to welcome everyone to The Point restaurant! Steveston has offered me many wonderful childhood memories and I am honored for the opportunity to give back. Myself, chefs James Dawson and Stacey Baker will be taking our combined 50 plus years of experience to our community offering a "local and fresh" dining environment and menu. I would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support we have already received. We look forward to serving our community for many years to come.
Stacey Baker - Chef
I grew up in Steveston and have spent my childhood days running around the pier and through the village. I’ve seen Steveston grow and form into the community it is now. A good part of my life was spent trying to decide what I want to do for a living. All the years of debating, contemplating, then finally realizing that I have a love for cooking. It was always there right under my nose but I guess I couldn’t see it; maybe my nose is too big.
I studied at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver and received my diploma, (harder than I thought), and then I proceeded to study book after book and learn as much as I could to prepare myself for the day when I could finally show people what I have been working hard for.
To provide people with the BEST quality food and the BEST quality service is what we are here for and that is The Point.
